What
is DGA (Digital
Graphic Art)
Basically,
this process is not so different from the way one make screens for
screen printing. There one also starts with a high-resolution image
and digitally separate the different colors in each layer, The
printing method itself is of course very different. The process of
creating art using the technique D.G.A can start both directly on the
Graphic tablet or display and a software; or on paper/canvas with
paint and brushes. The drawing/painting is then digitized in high
resolution using a camera or a scanner and the digital file is
processed further. I always
start with drawing on paper or with paint on canvas, and after I'm
done with the first steps, I continue to work/paint digitally. The
physical painting which was the starting point will of course be
destroyed.
I
use Hahnemühle William Turner 310 gsm paper
for printing my works.
DGA
is obviously something more than a repro (Giclee)
